Privacy & your information

Save Sumter Alliance is an independent campaign run by local residents. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the City of Bushnell, Sumter County, or any government agency. This page explains, in plain language, what information this site collects, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• If you RSVP ("Will you be there June 23?"): your answer is saved on your own device and counted toward an anonymous total. The count never identifies you.
• If you ask for a yard sign: the email address you enter, and the road or area if you choose to add it.
• If you contact us: your message, and your name and email if you choose to include them.
• We do not require an account, a login, or a password. We do not ask for anything we do not need.

How we use it

• To organize against rezoning case ZON26-000016 and the issues around it: to reach you about a yard sign, to reply to your message, and to gauge how many neighbors plan to attend.
• That is the only purpose. We do not use your information for anything unrelated to this campaign.

What we never do

• We never sell, rent, or trade your information.
• We never publish your name, email, address, or message on this website.
• We do not share your details with third parties, except where the law requires it.

Email

If you join the yard-sign list, we will email you only about this campaign, and every email includes a clear way to unsubscribe. Ask us to stop at any time and we will.

Tracking and analytics

This site uses no advertising trackers and no cross-site tracking cookies. The only thing stored in your browser is your own RSVP choice, so the page can remember it. If we measure traffic, we use a privacy-respecting, cookieless tool that does not profile you across other websites.

Your choices

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing [email protected]. To remove your RSVP from your own device, clear your browser's site data for savesumter.org.

Children

This site is meant for adults taking part in a public process and is not directed at children.

The factual claims about the rezoning on this site are drawn from the public county record or named press, and are linked from the main page. If you find an error, tell us so we can fix it.
